Looking for a simple, fun and effective sight words for your kindergartener? Try mine! My 6 and 4 year old learned how to read with confidence using this technique.
- Each week has 3 sight words in the form of simple sentences. I chose only 3 so that they don't get overwhelmed. Don't worry! They will learn more than 100 words by the end of the year :)
They will learn new words Monday - Wednesday and Thursday's are for review.
- Words that are not yet learned are illustrated with an image so that they could still "read" the whole sentence themselves.
- Repetition is KEY when teaching sight words. These worksheets ONLY uses words that they have learned each week. The sentences get longer as they learn more words throughout the year.
-Kids can also learn how to spell each sight word through the trace option on the top.
